I loved this comical documentary. Religious folk need to watch this with an open mind.

VERY entertaining. Hilarious but also makes you question religion. Loved it.

Its message is clear. Maher is a clever man. But (dah) religious people blindly reject him
Gavin Klein over 6 years ago
Love the message it sends but it can get boring at moments, as do most documentaries
Michael Cole over 6 years ago
Bill repeats the same obvious arguments against religion without an in-depth discussion
Jordan Feurstein over 6 years ago
Not much of documentary... but its a really funny extension of Maher's stand up comedy.

I find this sort of doco(?) as useful as the subject matter itself. Why bother?

Makes some great point but suffers in places from trying to interject humor. Wrong Crowd!
Randi Steers almost 7 years ago
Witty, intelligent; a must see, envelope-pushing film on the ridiculousness of religion.
Ferşat Özçelik almost 7 years ago
not bad. not an academic documentary.
Jacqui Hocking 7 years ago
self indulgent. Which is a shame 'cos I was really looking forward to it...

It's interesting, but didn't really present me with anything new to dwell upon.
Gideon Surus over 7 years ago
Good enough, falls short on depth, originality, and mainly empathy on easy targets.

Holy shit, is Maher obnoxious in this film.

Excelente documental donde Bill Maher busca demostrar lo perjudicial que es la religion

It's definitely biased, but this movie will change your life. Or at least it did mine.

Funny, yet skewed towards attacking islam (where christianity should also have received).

These include a former member of Jews for Jesus, Christians, Muslims, former Mormons, and Hasidic Jews. He travels to Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park, London, where he "preaches" Scientology beliefs. Maher said he used a fake title "A Spiritual Journey" for the film to obtain interviews. Creationist Ken Ham of the non-profit group Answers in Genesis, who appeared in the film, was critical of what he called Maher's "deception" to obtain the...
