Capone (1975) is an American crime film directed by Steve Carver and stars Ben Gazzara, Harry Guardino, Susan Blakely and Sylvester Stallone in an early film appearance. The movie is a biography of the infamous Al Capone, although much of it is supposedly fiction. The film was released on DVD in the U.S. for the first time on March 29, 2011 through Shout! Factory and has been available in Europe for some time. The story is of the rise and fall of the infamous Chicago gangster Al Capone and the control he exhibited over the city during the prohibition years. Starting in 1901, he hangs out with other gangs until he is found by gangsters Johnny Torrio (Harry Guardino) and Frankie Yale (John Cassavetes). Then he pushes his way into the Chicago Underworld, battling mobsters Hymie Weiss and George "Bugs" Moran, and romancing flapper Iris Crawford (Susan Blakely).
