Like many trilogies, the finale was the least satisfying. Still good but not great.

The most polarizing of the Nolan trilogy is still more exciting than Batman Begins.

Solid but ultimately disappointing. Chris, what happened? This film is simply boring.

Bane's voice was unmatched and silly, but otherwise a solid conclusion to the trilogy

Appropriate conclusion to one of the best superhero trilogies ever is cerebral and dark

It's a good stand alone movie but it's a fantastic wrap up to a trilogy.

Awful. From the pacing to paper-thin characters to voices to the story. Skip this one.

More Bruce's personal journey than Batman's journey. A good end to his character arc.

It wasn't what I expected. Batman was too weak and boring in this movie.

Great by a normal metric, unfortunately is automatically ranked against The Dark Knight.

Let down by the super model girlfriend and front villain. My least favourite out of all.

Okay film but not as good as the previous installments, too many subplots to follow.
The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming American superhero film under the development of Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Jonathan Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film series. The Dark Knight Rises will see the return of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, and Lucius Fox, respectively. The film will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy—two central characters from the comic books.
Nolan was initially hestitant about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and David Goyer that he felt conclude the series on a satisfactory note. Filming has taken place across the world, including locations in India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh. Nolan is opting to utilize the IMAX camera for more of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros.
