Typical Tim Burton; didn't know it was a remake of one of his earlier movies.

I hope tim burton's soul will enjoy an eternity in hell for these later films.

More for the kids than TNBC, but still a great Tim Burton effort.

I was shocked at how good this was. Burton finally made something good again!

Frankenweenie is bittersweet. It tugs on my heart strings. Good remake, but not necessary.

Good, relateable film. Typical Tim Burton style, but, it's good.

Every character is exquisitely individual. Loved "Mr Whiskers"

A decent, though sorta bland kids movie and better than Burton's recent live action works.

A Disney film made to look like a Burton film. Not sure on the voice cast.

Just a cute movie but the animation style still good. Maybe is more adequated to children.

Tim Burton goes back to form. Takes all horror stereotypes and gives them nuance. :D

Frankenweenie is an upcoming 3D black and white stop motion film and remake of the 1984 short film of the same name. It is directed by Tim Burton, and scheduled for release on October 5, 2012. The synopsis of the film reads: Five actors who previously worked with the director, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short, and Conchata Ferrell, will rejoin him on this project providing the voices. Development for a full-length stop motion version of Frankenweenie dates as far back as November 2005, when scripts had been written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott. John August was approached for a rewrite in 2006, but was not hired until January 2009. Burton signed with Disney to direct two films in Disney Digital 3D, which included Alice in Wonderland and his remake of Frankenweenie. Like the original, the feature version is to be shot in black & white. Many of the animation artists and crew from Corpse Bride are involved. Filming began at Three Mills Studios in July...
